Amaranth was a staple grain of the Aztec people. The small, nutritious seeds can be threshed by hand and, unlike many other grains, don’t need to be hulled to eat! A mix of our co-op grown Amaranth varieties, which range in color from deep maroon to apricot orange, all with edible, spinach-flavored leaves (some golden, some green, some deep red), and nutritious seeds. Will self-sow, bringing stunning beauty and food year after year! 3-10′ tall!
