Amaranth, Hot Biscuits

Brings that fresh-from-the-oven festivity out into the garden!

Amaranthus cruentus

Amaranth was a staple grain of the Aztec people. The small, nutritious seeds can be threshed by hand and, unlike many other grains, don’t need to be hulled to eat!

This festive, warm orange amaranth grows to 6′ tall with glorious heads that measure over a foot tall and wide! Young leaves have distinct yellow ribs and are a nice addition to salads, and white seeds are edible and nutritious too. Spectacular cut flower, excellent for fall arrangements. Open-pollinated, 80 days.

Seed grown by Earthly Delights Farm in Boise, Idaho.

About 250 seeds.
