Bull’s Blood Beet –┬áBeta vulgaris

A favorite of market and home gardeners alike, these delicious 3″ beets also boast beautiful dark purple greens that make seedlings easy to distinguish from the surrounding weeds. Superb in salad mix. Open-pollinated heirloom; 50-60 days.

Directions: Direct seed in spring, 1/4″ deep. Keep well-watered and be patient. As they get crowded, thin to 4″ apart for big beets, eating the thinnings. Seed in late summer for a fall crop.
