Northeaster Pole Bean – Phaseolus vulgaris
Very early pole bean with those divine long, wide, flat pods you can harvest by the fistful from the hearty climbing vines. 8″ long by 1″ wide pods stay sweet and tender for a long time on the vine. Exceptional vigor and hardier than most in cold soils. Pole, 56 days.
Directions: Direct seed 1″ deep after danger of frost has passed. Thin to 6″ apart. Provide a trellis. Pick beans often to keep them producing well. Follow with a heavy feeder as beans fix nitrogen!
Seed grown by Fellowship Farm in Paul, ID.
