SEEDY SATURDAY is Snake River Seed Cooperative’s annual Seed Swap event where backyard gardeners come together and swap their saved or excess seeds from their best plants.
Seed swaps are a fundamental part of human history and seeds were one of the first commodities to be valued and traded. Today’s seed savers enjoy cultivating rare/heirloom varieties and sharing seeds which do well in the Treasure Valley’s climate.
Besides a chance to GIVE AND GET NEW SEEDS, there are also workshops on seed saving and cultivating.
Usually held in late February in Boise, please sign up for our newsletter or check out our facebook page for specific dates.
