Allium sativum
"Carpathian garlic originates out of the Carpathian Mountains of Poland and is part of the Rocambole group of garlic varieties. For many, Rocambole garlic varieties are considered the finest, “top shelf” of all the hardneck garlic varieties. Carpathian is no exception and gained heightened attention when Cook’s Illustrated magazine chose it as one of their favorite garlic varieties. Carpathian is excellent tasting with a rich, strong, and sweet flavor."

Carpathian averages about 5-7 bulbs per lb and 8-10 cloves per bulb.
Seed garlic sourced from Sundries Farm in Hagerman Valley, Idaho.
Storage instructions: Make sure to keep your garlic in a brown bag in a cool, dark, dry place until you are ready to plant it. 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal storage temperature. Air must be able to circulate freely around the bag. Do not store garlic in the refrigerator.
Sowing instructions: Carpathian seed garlic has a shelf life of around 3 months. Therefore, it should be planted at the start of October. Bulbs should not be separated into cloves until just before planting. Sow with the point where the cloves attached to the bulb pointed down. We recommend mulching your garlic bed with a light layer of leaves to help with weed suppression and overwintering.
