Papaver atlanticum
These dainty, drought-tolerant, perennial poppies bloom all summer!
This Mediterranean native perennial poppy is hardy to zone 4/5 and is quite drought-tolerant. Makes a great rock garden or xeriscape plant, as the rosettes stay around 4" tall, with flowers blooming on 30" stems from spring through summer. An excellent and underutilized variety.
Seed grown by Flowers with Rye in Boise, ID, Whistlepig Farm in Eagle, Idaho, and Oasis Homestead in Nampa, Idaho.
500 seeds.
Directions: Direct seed in fall or late winter for best results. Or, keep seeds in wet sand in the fridge for at least one month before planting. Poppies reseed.
