Description
Catananche caerulea
Charmer of a cut flower—woos the people, bees, and butterflies alike!
Wiry stems sprout 15-24” above clumps of grey-green, grass-like leaves on this fetching plant that dies back to the ground and then comes back each year. Cute 1” wide flowers are full of lively personality—our strain features mostly blue & lavender flowers, with some white or blue streaked with white ones here and there. Both flowers and dried seed heads make superb additions to flower arrangements. Tender perennial—let it self-sow and be struck by Cupid’s Dart for years to come!
Seeds grown by Quel Ranch in Garden City, Idaho.
50 seeds.
Directions: Direct sow on soil surface in Spring to early Summer or start indoors 6-8 weeks before frost. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Will self-sow.
