Description
Brassica spp. (Various species)
Working toward a reliably winter-hardy kale by saving everything that overwinters in our gardens!
This community plant breeding project is fondly dubbed the Great Idaho Kale Seed Round Up. Over a dozen area farmers and gardeners saved seeds from kale that overwintered for them. We'll keep growing and mixing them, and someday we'll have Idaho Icebox kale!
Check out our short GROW THIS PLANT! video about this community-wide project!
This mix includes Kale Rainbow Lacinato, Kale Red Russian and, Kale Wild West.
On occasion, we substitute a different but similar variety into our mixes due to inventory changes. After you receive your mix, you can check the printed information on the back of the packet to see the ingredients of the mix.
