Description
Brassica oleracea
Delicious, hardy kale with beautiful multicolored leaves.
This diverse, cold-hardy cousin of the divine lacinato is a more reliable overwinterer in our region than its more fragile counterpart, while retaining much of lacinato’s tenderness…and all with the added pizzazz of diverse stem & leaf colors & shapes, thanks to the inventive plant breeding stylings of Frank Morton! One of our faves—plant in a protected spot for the chance at greens all winter!
Seeds grown by Wasatch Community Garden in Salt Lake City, Utah.
OSSI royalties will go to Frank Morton for this variety.
160 seeds.
Directions: Start indoors and transplant out in spring, or direct seed in spring or later. For fall crop, start indoors late May & transplant out quickly.
