Description
Lactuca sativa
What a perfectly elegant little sweetheart of a lettuce!
This sweet, delicious romaine has big leaves with green hearts and red tips. Both red lettuces and romaine lettuces are among the fastest types to bolt in general, but multiple SRSC growers have done substantial work to select this one for slower-bolting in our climate. Cheers to real-life on-farm crop improvement for the rugged West, and cheers to the gorgeous salads & sandwiches you’ll make due to their efforts!
