Description
Lactuca sativa
Truly lives up to its name! Extremely slow bolting leaf lettuce, nicely ruffled.
Believe the hype! Originally bred in 1946 by the University of Maryland, Slobolt has been well kept as a heat tolerant variety that is routinely the last to bolt in our trials. You can harvest leaves all summer if you’re diligent (or overly ambitious?).
Seeds grown by Affinity Farm in Moscow, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Direct seed in fall or spring. You can start indoors in early spring and transplant outdoors after 4-6 weeks. Thin to 12" spacing for heads. For cut-and-come-again greens, use 3" spacing.
