Description
Mirabilis jalapa
Trumpet-shaped flowers cover plants in pink, yellow, white, burgundy, or cerise.
Known as the Marvel of Peru, this bushy plant quickly grows to 2-3 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for filling a bare space quickly. It blooms consistently all summer with sweet-smelling blossoms that, as their name suggests, open in late afternoon to waft their perfumes and beckon the pollinators. Attracts sphinx moths in the evenings!
