Description
Cucumis melo
OOH-BABY, this is one tasty melon! Aromatic, spicy-sweet green-fleshed fruits!
If you think you don’t like green melons because of the cardboard honeydew you’ve choked down from the dreaded plastic-compartment fruit tray at a recent potluck, think again! This aromatic, tender, spicy-sweet fruit is unlike any melon we’ve ever tasted, and it frequently wins taste tests, blowing its orange challengers out of the water. Try it! You’ll never look at green melons the same way again. Harvest when they release easily from the vine with a light tug.
Seeds grown by Wasatch Community Garden in Salt Lake City, Utah and Twisp River Seed in Twisp, Washington.
30 seeds.
Directions: Start indoors in pots 4-5 weeks before last frost and transplant outside after. Or direct seed after last frost. Harden for several days before transplanting, and water thoroughly after. Melons are ripe when they slip from the vine.
