Description

      Cucumis melo
The standard heirloom cantaloupe, yummy and reliable.
Since its introduction in 1920, Hale's Best Cantaloupe has been winning competitions, for good reason. Large, sweet, easy-to-grow melons are reliably productive and have a quintessential cantaloupe flavor. Finely netted skins and bright orange flesh.
Seeds grown by Winniford Family Farm in Rice, Washington and Rich Felton in Rawlins, WY.
30 seeds.
Directions: Start indoors 2-4 weeks before last frost and transplant outside after. Or direct seed after last frost. Harden for a week before transplanting, and water thoroughly after. Melons are ripe when they slip from the vine when lightly tugged.
