Description
Petroselinum crispum
Superb bright flavor and tender leaves on this highly ornamental parsley.
If you (like many) associate curly parsley with the orange-slice companion garnish on a diner pancake breakfast, it's time to reimagine the possibilities of this superb herb! The fresh, bright flavor and tender stems of this compact variety are a superb addition to salads and cooked dishes. And yes, they do make a lovely garnish. Winter-hardy biennial.
Seeds grown by Bluebird Forest Garden in Orofino, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Works best as a transplant the first year, but will self-seed after. Seeds take a long time to germinate. Start indoors 8+ weeks before planting outside. Or, direct seed in early spring. Since parsley is a biennial, plant seeds two years in a row to create a self-seeding “perennial” patch.
