Description
Brassica juncea
Woo-eee, this one’s got a kick! Add excitement to the garden and to your tongue!
This spicy-hot variety sports thick, frilly, lime green leaves and makes an excellent addition to a salad or braising mix. We love shredding the leaves & adding them to sushi rolls. You can seed them thickly and harvest small leaves for salad mixes, or space them further apart for larger leaves. Leaves can reach up to 1’ long if allowed to grow to full size. Plants make edible spicy mustard seeds, too!
Seeds grown by Earthly Delights Farm in Boise, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Direct seed in spring. Or start indoors in early spring and transplant after 4-6 weeks. Thin to 6” apart for big leaves. Use 2” spacing for cut-and-come-again for salads. Baby greens are ready to harvest after 20 days.
