Description

Allium cepa

Rockin' storage onion with hot flavor and superb keeping qualities.

This storage onion with small, tight necks and thick brown skin is a superb keeper bred for organic conditions by Dr. Alan Kapular. Grower Helen Brookman has kept them through an Idaho summer in her garage! How's THAT for storage quality! It is a wonderful open-pollinated alternative to the hybrid Copra.

Seeds grown by Swift River Farm in Salmon, Idaho.

Directions: Start indoors in late winter. Plant seeds ¼“ deep and ¼“ apart in a single pot. Trim edible tops with scissors down to 2" to thicken bulbs. Transplant in mid-spring, 3" apart & 1" deep.
