Description
Daucus carota
This French heirloom puts on some seriously dense roots that punch right through heavy soils!
These dense but tender-hearted beasts live up to their namesake, with some roots weighing up to a full pound! If you have heavy or rocky soils, this is a great variety for you—they can grow wide instead of deep! Trade those slimy, sickly, store-bought baby carrots in for some hearty, home-grown roots with superb old-timey carrot flavor!
