If you're in zones 6-7, there is so much you can plant right now! 🤩 Many frost-tolerant varieties can be planted directly outside.
But remember, don’t plant your frost-sensitive plants outside until after the average last frost date for your area. In the Treasure Valley, we plant our “hot crops” outside on Mother’s Day if there is no frost in the forecast at that time.
If you're not sure if your plants can be transplanted outside before the last frost, check the variety-specific instructions on the seed packet or on our website.
We’ve referenced the University of Idaho Spring Planting Guide for this info, as well as our own planting guide for the Treasure Valley, collaboratively created with Front Yard Fresh.
