Description
Lunaria annua
A real show-off in the winter, when its purple flowers give way to round, papery husks.
Also called Honesty plant, this lovely biennial naturalizes itself easily in sunny or shady spots. Especially nice in woodland gardens. Huge, papery husks create winter interest after the showy purple flowers fade. Easy to grow! Open-pollinated.
Seeds grown by Quel Ranch in Garden City, Idaho.
30 seeds.
Directions: Direct seed in fall or early spring. Since silver dollar plant is a biennial, plant seeds two years in a row to create a self-seeding “perennial” patch. Flowers in second year.
