Oregano Greek

Origanum vulgare var. hirtum

Much like true oregano it makes a lovely edible landscaping plant as well as a delicious addition to meals. Keep it sheared for a formal look, or let it bloom to feed the bees! Open-pollinated.

Greek oregano has a hot and peppery flavor. Its both refreshing and spicy essence lend itself well to Italian, Greek, Spanish and Mexican dishes.

Directions: Sow seeds on soil surface 8-10 weeks before last frost. Keep moist. Transplant after last frost. Plants should have at least 4 true leaves before any form of transplantation.
