Lettuce, Black Seeded Simpson

Description

Lactuca sativa

A succulent leaf lettuce for cut and grow again gardens!

This old-time favorite lettuce produces large, lightly crumpled, light green leaves. And lucky for us, it tastes as good as it looks! You can harvest leaf by leaf, cut and grow again while the plants are small, or allow the plant to grow a large, leafy head of lettuce before harvesting. This variety has also proven to be heat tolerant in our grower's field.

This is an heirloom lettuce!

Seeds grown by Sonshine Acres in Emmett, Idaho.

200 seeds.

Directions: Direct sow in spring before last week of frost, or start indoors in early spring and transplant outdoors after 4-6 weeks. Great for fall planting. Thin to 8-12" spacing for heads. Prefers full sun to part shade. For frequent harvesting all summer long, sow every two weeks.
