Rudbeckia hirta
Beloved old-fashioned garden flower that blooms boisterously all summer.
Flowers range from pure yellow to streaked with orange, red, or brown. Wonderful cut flower, and a fabulous addition to meadows and naturalized areas. Open-pollinated tender perennial.
Seeds grown by Downtown Teaching Farm of Boise High School and Reiley & Nick Carney in Boise, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Direct sow about 6 weeks before final frost and cover lightly with soil. Keep soil moist. Can also start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before final frost. Transplant container-grown plants outside after the last frost, when large enough to handle easily.
