Crack-resistant, 1880's heirloom developed in Massachusetts.

An delicious, fiber-rich carrot with a thick core that makes it a grand keeper and a stand up variety for cooking. Roots are short and stocky with dainty little pointed tips. They resist cracking, which makes them an excellent choice for growing in heavy soil. Beautiful red-orange, sweet flesh. Reliable and hardy producer. Open-pollinated.

Seeds grown by Swift River Farm in Salmon, Idaho.

250 seeds.

Directions: Direct seed outdoors in Spring as soon as soil can be worked. Thin to 2" spacing between plants and give 12" spacing between rows. Plant in midsummer for fall or winter harvest.
