Description
Lactuca sativa
Delectable and tender butterhead--layers and layers of soft green and red leaves!
It’s possible to seed this voluptuous butterhead closely for leaves, but you’d be missing out! Allow her ample room to spread and unfurl, and you won’t be disappointed! Color variation intensifies with frost. Open-pollinated, German heirloom.
Seeds grown by Field Goods Farm in Boise, Idaho, and Affinity Farm in Moscow, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Direct seed in spring, or start indoors in early spring and transplant outdoors after 4-6 weeks. Thin to 12" spacing for heads. For cut and-come-again greens, use 3" spacing.
