Description
Physalis philadelphica
Key ingredient in salsa verde, and a fun plant to grow. Like a tart, crisp tomato!
Fabulous roasted, sautéed or raw. Harvest when fruits fill out the husk. Open-pollinated.
Seeds grown by Earthly Delights Farm and Field Goods Farm in Boise, Idaho.
200 seeds.
Directions: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before frost and transplant after frost. Cross pollination is required for fruit, so plant at least two plants. Tomatillos reseed the following year. Plants will sprawl on ground if not trellised, which works, but trellising is easier if you can!
