Tomato, Peacevine

  • $4.00

Description

Solanum lycopersicum

Peacevine is a truly delicious tomato variety while also being rich in Vitamin C and gamma amino butyric acid--an amino acid that acts as a calming body sedative. Who says healthy can't be tasty!? Harvest the full set of cherries on the stem when the majority is ripe, or pick one by one for a snack in the garden.

Indeterminate.

Tomatoes are native to northwestern South America and by at least 500 BC they had been domesticated and were being cultivated as far north as modern-day Mexico, enjoyed by Aztec and other civilizations. They spread to Europe and the Caribbean through the Spanish colonizers, where they became staple parts of the food culture in many European countries as well.
