Tomato, Principe Borghese

  • $4.00

Description

Solanum lycopersicum

Prolific, early, and delicious! This tomato has a great flavor for salsa, sauce, fresh snacking, and sun drying.

An Italian heirloom; this plant produces clusters of small, red, plum-shaped fruit and although they are determinate in growth they do need support such as caging or staking. It is a popular variety for splitting in half and sun drying as they are firm, meaty, and maintain their color and flavor well. Very productive.

Seeds grown by Reiley and Nick Carney in Boise, Idaho.

30 seeds.

Directions: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost and transplant out after. Bury past first set of leaves, add eggshells to soil for calcium, and provide support.
