Description

A Mild & Vibrant Fusion of Some of Our Favorite Greens!

Unleash your inner greens enthusiast and indulge in the Spicy Microgreens Mix. Elevate your dishes, excite your taste buds, and embrace the gently spicy fusion of flavors that will transform your culinary experiences.

We've combined Cress, Arugula, Mustards, Radish, Spinach and Mache to complete this flavorful blend. Cress, with its crisp and crinkled leaves, delivers a refreshing burst of peppery spice. Meanwhile, Arugula adds its signature nutty and slightly bitter profile, contributing depth and complexity to the mix. Mustards and Radish add a bit of a kick. Spinach rounds the flavor profile out, and brings even more nutrient richness to this blend. Finally, Mache provides a mild, nutty pleasant taste with a delectable crunch.

The Spicy Microgreens Mix is not only a vibrant culinary experience but also a nutritional powerhouse. Bursting with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!

Directions:

  1. Start with a 10 x 20-inch tray with holes, or use a disposable food container with holes poked in the bottom for drainage.
  2. Fill the tray with potting soil, approximately 2 inches deep.
  3. Lightly water the soil, ensuring it is as moist as a wrung-out sponge.
  4. Scatter about ½ ounce of microgreen seeds over the soil, or an equivalent amount for the size of the container you are using.
Use less seed if you're growing sprouts for baby salad, or selectively harvest them to leave space for some to grow several inches!
  5. Sprinkle about ¼ inch of soil over the top of the seeds and pat it down gently.
  6. Mist the soil with a spray bottle or gently water it to ensure even moisture.
  7. Place the tray in a dark location, such as a cabinet or closet, for 3-5 days to allow the seeds to germinate and develop roots. Alternatively, you can use a blackout tray designed for this purpose.
  8. Check the soil moisture daily and lightly mist if necessary. Avoid over-watering to prevent mold growth.
  9. After 3-5 days, move the tray to a well-lit area, such as a kitchen counter, where the microgreens can receive sufficient light for growth.
  10. Your microgreens should be ready to harvest in 7-12 days.
  11. For baby salad microgreens, wait for approximately 15 days before harvesting. Cut the microgreens just above the soil line.

1 oz of seed covers approximately two 10x20 inch planting trays for sprouts.
You can use less seed if you are growing sprouts for baby salad greens, to leave them more space.
