Description
Papaver somniferum
Gorgeous, whimsical and lighthearted garden flower with edible seeds!
Mostly pale pink flowers, with a few random reds showing up now and again. Poppies are one of the most magical flowers, so ephemeral, with intricate blossoms giving way to highly ornamental seedheads. Seeds can be added to baked goods. Open-pollinated.
Seed grown by Reditus Natural Farming in Ferdinand, Idaho.
500 seeds.
Directions: Poppies dislike having their roots disturbed and they prefer cool soil, so it's best to direct sow them in late fall to early spring. Light is required for germination so scatter seeds on the surface and lightly cover with soil.
