Standfast is the one you want if you're looking for the perfect sunflower for eating! Sunflower seeds for snacking, oil and birdseed. It's stocky 5-foot sunflowers ‘stand fast’.  According to Fruition, Standfast was selected by Will Bonsall in Maine for years, building on the foundation of thousands of years of indigenous plant breeding. Will generously shared a handful of these seeds with Fruition in 2012 and they are now a mainstay!

Directions: Direct seed after last frost date. Sow 2 seeds every 18-24", then thin to one. The more fertility the soil with more space and sun; the larger the plants.  Put a bag over drying heads to protect seeds from birds.
